Thursday Night Football: Browns vs. Jets

Mayfield Browns Stud-Muffin Quarterback

Baker Mayfield is fun to watch he's a 23 year your old young buck from Austin, Texas. The Cleveland Browns choose him in the 2018 NFL draft and he's the first round pick. He's in a four year rookie contract with the Browns and they signed him at $32 million. Not to shabby for a young stallion-- not to mention he's entertaining to watch. Because he can throw and complete passes. Last night he executed winning the game after one of the longest losing records in the history for the NFL.  All of that's over now they have momentum and a very talented QB. Go Browns! And hurray for new QB's in the league.

Sam Darnold So-Cal Native and Jets QB

Sam Darnold was the second round pick for the Jets-- also 23 years old. He was picked in the draft right behind Mayfield. So needless to say last nights game was epic, two first round picks going up against each other. I'm glad I got to watch the two new star QB's go at it with two of the worst teams in the league. However, both teams looked sharp last night and up to par this year so far. Darnold is from San Clemente, CA and very popular amongst USC fans perhaps because he use to play their.  The Jets signed him at a $30 million contract baby. Not to discredit the other players on the teams, besides the QB there are ten other players in a football game (not to mention the coaches and other strings) that are just as professional and talented. I pay attention to the QB's because they are the rain makers and leaders for their teams.

September 2018 NFL Football

Last nights game was back to back at the Browns FirstEnergy Stadium. The place looked packed with bright orange and brown like a giant Halloween party, I'm guessing 60,000 fans were in attendance. Not to mention Coors Light Beer threw in a goodie bag --if the Browns won. If the Browns won then fans would get access to free beer and hopefully a taxi to drive your drunk ass home safely. Sweet! And they won with the final score: 21-17.  If you like beer you probably had some last night at the game-- not to stereotype most football fans do. The fans were probably ecstatic for the win 'finally,' their handsome new QB and free beer. I will keep my eye on them, they put on a good show.

15 NFL Players You Didn't Realize Are Retired: 2016

With so much talk about NFL rookie quarterbacks we seem to forget the ones that retired. I get it we watch the game and choose to forget they are not running or throwing the ball. Big names like: 1.Payton Manning, 2.Marshall Lynch, 3.Calvin Johnson, 4.Greg Jennings, 5.Percy Harvin, 6.Heath Miller, 7. Logan Mankins, 8.Manny Ramirez, 9.Phil Loadholt 10.Jared Allen 11. B.j. Raji 12.Darnell Dockett 13.Justin Tuck 14.Jon Beason and 15.Charles Woodson.  1. Payton Manning: QB The recently retired Manning is hard to forget. He is a quarterback legend among the other gods. He's like a fine wine and just keeps getting better with age, though he's not playing anymore. Mr. Manning is heavily commercialized for his triumphs. And I'm sure the Broncos will miss him tell the next century. 2. Marshall Lynch: RB This former running back is known as 'Beast Mode.' Lynch is hard to get over, he's taken down the Broncos in a Superbowl. The 5'11, 215 lb, Oakland CA, ...

NFL's Third Week: 2020 Kickoff

NFL Plays in a Dome, Not a Bubble Looks like the NFL is on and is on its going on the 3rd week. They are not playing in a bubble and over 60 players opted out this year. For the love of the game or for love of your health? I watched highlights and how nice it was to be distracted by a bunch of athletic dudes playing to win. Big-name generation x'ers Tom Brady and Philip Rivers were sporting their new teams.  Monday Night Football in September What I'm really looking forward to is an ordinary Monday Night football in Septemeber. The NFL is providing much needed entertainment and a sense of normalcy in COVID-times.  Allegiant Stadiam, Las Vegas Debut  Tonight the Saints play the Raiders. This will be in the new Las Vegas dome. The Allegiant Stadiam is the 1.8 billion dollar stadium and as much as I love 'Derek Carr,' injured or not-- I 'm looking forward to getting photgraphs of an empty-billion dollar arena. It won't be empty for too long. Tonight is t...

US Open 2016: Review

Stan The Man The over the top US Open blew me over. As in blew me over I mean the sold out ]dome in Brooklyn New York (Chase Center). The match between Wawrinka and Djokovic was great. The first two sets won by Wawrinka, whom I'm a big fan of now. The guy's outfit was perfect, it was hot pink or a magenta shade. The hot color won him the game. And the stakes were high, loser gets $1.8 million, while winner prize is $3 million. That is the highest prize money in the history of any tennis tournament. So go you  Switzerland native "Stan Wawrinka," also refereed to by some as "Stan the man."
